A wellness clinic at one of Uptown’s busiest corners is running a December discount aimed at holiday shoppers and tired commuters alike. Balancing Point, Center for Wellness, is offering a half-hour massage for $35, down from its regular $50, from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31.
The special covers both Swedish and deep tissue massage. Gift certificates are available at the same rate, which makes the offer a ready-made present. The clinic notes that some restrictions apply.
More than massage
Balancing Point offers chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage therapy and orthotics under one roof. Combining those services is a common model for neighborhood clinics, which can refer patients from one practitioner to another without sending them across town.
The center is at 4753 N. Broadway, Suite 101, on the ground floor of the Bridgeview Bank building at Broadway and Lawrence. The bank’s tower is one of the landmarks of the intersection, which also anchors the Green Mill, the Aragon and the Uptown Theatre.
A busy corner for service businesses
The Broadway and Lawrence crossroads gets steady foot traffic from the Lawrence Red Line station and the bus lines that meet there. For a clinic, that means a large pool of potential walk-in clients who live or work within a few blocks.
